Greece Visa Appointments in Dublin: How to Book

Book a Greece tourist visa appointment in Dublin via the Embassy’s official calendar. Check the colours, confirmation email, documents and next steps.

By STRATALast checked:

For a Greece tourist visa appointment in Dublin, start on the Greek Embassy’s official appointment page and select “Visas.” When we reviewed it on 9 October 2026, that link opened the Embassy’s SuperSaaS booking system. The page has a separate route for “Visas for EU family members.”

This guide is for Irish residents who need a short-stay tourist visa for Greece. Use the right calendar, choose an available time and wait for confirmation before relying on the appointment.

Check that you should apply through Greece

Before booking, check that Greece should handle your planned trip. For ordinary tourism, the European Commission’s guidance points to the country of the longest stay, or the first visited for equal stays; you generally apply in your country of legal residence. Check the requirements for your nationality and residence documents; they can differ between Irish residents.

Use the Embassy’s booking link, even if other platforms appear in search results. The ordinary visa link currently leads to the Greek Embassy in Dublin’s Visas schedule. Its public login screen includes account creation and password recovery.

Check that the heading says you are on Dublin’s visa schedule. Passport and other consular services use separate calendars. Reaching the login page does not confirm that appointments are available.

If you are applying as an EU family member, read the Embassy’s eligibility guidance before choosing its separate calendar. Do not use a special category simply because the ordinary calendar has no spaces. If you are unsure which route applies, ask the Embassy before booking.

Book and check the confirmation

The Embassy’s booking instructions say to select the service, sign in with your email and password, or create an account, then book subject to availability. Use an email address you can access reliably during the application period.

The Dublin visa page explains the calendar colours:

  • White: available appointment time
  • Blue: already booked
  • Grey: no appointment allocated

It asks you to put your intended travel dates and reason for travel in the booking comments. For a tourist trip, describe that purpose accurately. The Embassy says successful online booking produces a confirmation email.

Check the service, applicant details, date and time in your confirmation. Save it and add the appointment to your calendar. If the screen and email disagree, check your account and ask for clarification.

For a shared appointment, the visa page permits one applicant or a family of up to two people and asks for both names during booking. Do not extend that arrangement to a larger family or unrelated group without checking with the Embassy.

What to do if no appointment suits your trip

Use the colour key: grey means no slots are allocated, and blue means the time is booked. Neither tells you when more appointments will become available.

If you cannot book an available time, note the problem: did the slot disappear, is a required field incomplete, or did an error appear? We have not verified an appointment release schedule or a reliable browser workaround.

Completed the steps but have no email? Follow the confirmation checks below before attempting another reservation. While waiting, review your travel flexibility rather than planning around an unconfirmed date.

Prepare the documents in the Embassy’s order

The Embassy links a document checklist for Dublin applicants. When we reviewed it, the checklist required a signed application, passport, photograph, Irish residence documentation, travel and accommodation evidence, medical insurance, financial evidence and proof of work or study, with specified photocopies. It also gives separate requirements for minors and eligible family-member cases.

Use this summary alongside the full checklist. The final column offers practical tips, not extra visa requirements.

Scroll the table horizontally or focus it and use the arrow keys to read all columns.

Preparation checklist
ItemSelected official requirementsPractical next step
Passport and Irish Residence Permit (IRP)Both valid for at least three months after Schengen departure; passport issued within ten years with two blank pages.Check expiry, issue date and blank pages before booking.
Travel evidenceConfirmed flights and accommodation; travel medical insurance.Match dates and read cancellation terms before spending.
Submission fileDocuments in the prescribed order, A4 envelope and printed booking confirmation.Mark unfinished items; retain your own copy.
Visa feePay in cash; check the applicable amount with the Embassy.Confirm the current fee and prepare exact cash where possible.

The checklist asks for confirmed flights and accommodation evidence. Read the exact wording and any cancellation conditions before spending money; meeting a document requirement does not guarantee a visa. For a multi-stop trip, make a date-by-date itinerary and compare every transport and accommodation document against it.

The local submission instructions say to arrange the documents in an A4 envelope and include a printed booking confirmation. Prepare a private copy of your application for reference. Mark any unfinished pages clearly to avoid submitting them by mistake.

The Embassy’s local instructions give the submission address as 1 Upper Pembroke Street, Dublin 2, D02 V250. Attend in person with your confirmation, passport, IRP card and prepared envelope; check the current instructions before travelling.

The Embassy requires the visa fee in cash. Check its linked visa-fee schedule (Word document) before attending and prepare the applicable amount; the local instructions ask for exact cash if possible.

Allow time for processing and passport return

The European Commission’s Schengen guide gives a normal processing period of 15 days, potentially extended to 45 days for further examination or documents.

The Commission’s current application window is no earlier than six months and at least 15 days before travel. On 9 October 2026, the Embassy’s local page still displayed older three-month and processing-extension wording. Use the current Commission guidance for the general rules, and ask the Embassy to clarify local timing if it affects your trip. The 15-day minimum does not guarantee that an appointment or decision will fit your departure.

These figures do not predict appointment availability or when your passport will be ready. Allow time for submission, follow-up requests, a decision and passport return.

A confirmed appointment lets you submit your application; it does not guarantee approval. Avoid non-refundable commitments based only on a booking email.

What if I have a calendar booking but no confirmation email?

First check spam and your account’s booking details. Clicking a time alone does not confirm a booking. Check the service, applicant and time in your account, and avoid duplicate bookings while the status is unclear.

If it remains unresolved, the Embassy’s official appointment page lists grcon.dub-appointment@mfa.gr for appointment questions. State the service, relevant date and exact problem. Include a cropped error screenshot only if needed, remove unnecessary personal details, and keep passwords and payment information out of the enquiry.
